My Journey

Hi, I’m Sowmya Manjunath, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years, it’s that math is more than just numbers—it’s the language of logic, patterns, and problem-solving. My journey into teaching started not just from a love for math but from a deep passion for helping students build confidence in a subject that often feels overwhelming.

From my early days as a student fascinated by numbers to years of tutoring students across different curriculums, I’ve realized that everyone learns differently. That’s why I believe in personalized teaching—breaking down complex concepts in a way that makes sense to YOU.

How I Got Here

I wasn’t always a teacher. I started out like every other student, trying to figure out how math actually works. But the more I learned, the more I realized something important: math isn’t hard when it’s explained the right way. That realization turned into a passion, and before I knew it, I was helping others feel the same clarity and confidence I had found.

Fast forward to today, and I’ve spent the last 6+ years teaching students from all over the world—from middle schoolers just getting started to high school students preparing for major exams like SAT, ACT, and IB.

I believe that anyone can be good at math. Yes, even you! The problem isn’t your ability—it’s how math has been taught to you. That’s why my approach is different:
